[LMA2] (white) Modbus RTU SolaX G4 / Solinteg / Fronius adapter

Description

High quality RJ45 (male) to RJ45 (female) shielded connector.
Part of set LMGS+LMA2 for direct serial Modbus connection of the inverter to the FlexiObox.

LMA2 always to be used in combination with LMGS Modbus RTU generic cable.


LMA2 adapter is sold per 20 pieces (pack).

Use this adapter for easily setting up Modbus RTU connection for SolaX G4, Solinteg and Fronius.

  • LMGS Modbus RTU generic cable (mandatory combination)

  • LMA1: additional screw adapter (generic Modbus RTU)

  • LMA3: additional Alpha ESS adapter

  • LSF2: S/FTP shielded network cable 2m


Installation instructions

Use the LMA2 adapter together with LMGS Modbus RTU generic cable.

  • Plug a LSF2 or a Cat6a shielded network cable into the female part of the LMA2 adapter

  • Plug the other side of LMA2 into the LMGS Modbus RTU generic cable

  • Connect the USB-A side into the FlexiObox

You will now have following connections:

FlexiObox ← USB -> LMGS ← RJ45 -> LMA2 ← RJ45 Cat6a network cable -> Inverter

Tips

  • This adapter can only be used in conjunction with LMGS Modbus RTU generic cable to achieve direct serial Modbus RTU connection between the inverter and FlexiObox.

  • LIFEPOWR recommends using Modbus RTU rather than Modbus TCP:

    • Modbus RTU uses a direct serial connection between FlexiObox and inverter

    • Modbus TCP uses the local network and might be slightly less stable or less fail-proof
