No, the BMS will always take priority over the FlexiObox to ensure the warranty remains valid.

A battery typically has a 10-year warranty or 6,000 charge cycles.

→ If you charge and discharge your battery once per day, it will take 16.5 years to reach 6,000 cycles.

→ If you set your battery to MSC mode (maximum self-consumption), you should expect that it will charge and discharge little to none for about 4 months per year during the darker winter months. In this case, it will take 24 years to reach 6,000 cycles!

On top of that, every battery has an end of life. If you want to get the most out of your battery, it’s a smart choise to use it both for local savings, but also profit of the chance to generate extra income with grid balancing services! (so no, you don’t have negative wearings on your battery!)

The FlexiObox comes with a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.

The monthly costs for FlexiO are:

PV and Battery only: €9.95 (incl. VAT)
EV only: €4.95 (incl. VAT)
EV + PV + BAT: €14.95 (incl. VAT)

→ There is always a free subscription period. Contact your installer if you don’t know how long it lasts.

The cancellation period is just 15 days at any time. Contact FlexiO / LIFEPOWR if you want to end your subscription.

Currently, income payments are made 3 months after the month the income was generated. Example: income from January will be paid out in April.

The reason for this 3-month period is that ELIA has a 60-day payment term with FlexiO.
