2. Connection

SFTP cable 2m - Inverter

The LMGS goes into one of the USB-ports of the FlexiObox.

The LMA3 is connected in the female RJ45 port of the LMGS

The SFTP cable is connected to the female RJ45 port of the LMA3

The other side of the SFTP cable is connected to the RS485 port of the Alpha ESS inverter

2.1. Alternative if no LMA3 is used

  • A SFTP cable should be rewired at 1 side connection white/blue to pin 1 and blue to pin 2

  • This new connector has to be plugged into the LMGS-cable from Lifepowr.

  • An easier alternative for this connection is in the making but still in test fase.

3. Sunspec activation

We have incorporated logic into the device firmware such that when the device undergoes its first software upgrade from non-Sunspec-compliant to Sunspec-compliant software, the Sunspec protocol is automatically activated. Additionally, we have implemented remote commands to enable or disable the Sunspec protocol.

Instructions:

  1. When the device connects to the network, our after-sales department can remotely upgrade it.

  2. The installer may contact our after-sales service during installation or provide the device's serial number to our after-sales personnel in advance.

  3. Our after-sales staff will then pre-configure the upgrade service.

  4. Upon detecting the device's online status, our server will initiate the upgrade. This approach depends primarily on the on-site requirements and urgency.
