1.2. How to wire the inverter to FlexiO correctly

• Usa a S/FTP-kabel [LSF2], LMA1-Dongle and a LMGS dongle

• Place the SFTP cable in the inverters RS485 port, as described below
  

For RS485 communication connection, please follow the below steps:

1. Loosen the cable glands on the COM connection cover, and then unscrew the 4
   screws on the COM connection cover.

2. Lead the communication cables through the cable glands of the COM connection
   cover, don’t tighten the swivel nuts of the cable glands.
   Insert the RJ45 plugs to the relative RJ45 sockets.

3. Place the COM connection cover against the inverter housing and tighten the 4
   screws, at last secure the swivel nut of the cable glands.
   The pin definition of the communication ports:

• cut the other side of the SFTP cable and connect White/blue to pin 1 of the LMA1 connector. The Blue wire goes to pin 2 and the shield goes to GND

• Connect the LMA1adapter in the RJ45 connector of the LMGS dongle

• Connect the USB connector from the LMSG in to a free USB port on the FlexiObox

3. Modbus activation guide

To activate Modbus on the Alpha ESS inverter, contact Alpha ESS servicedesk and request a firmware update. Provide the inverter's serial number.
