CHARX SEC-3XXX (EV3000) and white-labeled chargers

This manual provides instructions to enable the FlexIO integration in EV3000 based chargers.

Configuration of FlexIO requires that the modbus communication is enabled in the main server module’s settings, the procedure can be executed locally (via the local web server of the charging controller).

It is required that the charger is connected via ethernet cable to the same network as the FlexIO device.

EV3000 chargers do not support wireless connections.

The network ethernet cable can be connected to port eth0 in the following way:

Local configuration

Through EV3000 web portal

Accessed at http://ev3000.local/

1. Login with credentials

Default credentials and permission-set are as follows:

User role

Login / default password

Rights

Guest

– / —

Read-only access to the dashboard

User

user / user

All read-only access rights, charging releases, editing of whitelists, download of log files

Operator

operator / operator

User rights, plus settings required for operation and local startup (network, backend, load management), software updates

Manufacturer

manufacturer / manufacturer

No restrictions

After login you will be presented with a dashboard, such as the one below:

2. Ensure the Modbus TCP/IP communication is enabled

Network configurations can be found under the Network tab, then Port Sharing. Ensure that the MODBUS Server (port 502) is enabled.

3. Check if the modbus settings are correct

In the Modbus tab, all the charging points must be visible and the start register should be set to -1. (Unless a specific configuration is in place, if so request support from LIFEPOWR).

4. Check the modbus server service

In System ControlStatus, ensure that the Modbus Server service is running.
