Huawei Sun2000
The Huawei SUN2000-KTL-L1 inverters can be connected to the FlexiObox by ethernet (Modbus TCP)
The connection is made using the local area network, no additional wiring is needed.
This type of connection is only possible when a Huawei WLAN-FE Smart Dongle is connected to the inverter, and the inverter built in wifi antenna is unplugged.
1. Modbus TCP setup
Modbus TCP has to be enabled on the inverter. This can be done true the Huawei FusionSolar app (remote) or via the Huawei SUN2000 App (local).
1.1 Enable Modbus TCP via FusionSolar app
Login on FusionSolar portal with your Installer account
Access the target plant. Click on Device Management->Check the box of the SmartDongle->Click on Set Parameters. The Firmware of the SmartDongle need to be V100R001C00SPC127 or newer.

Click on Modbus-TCP tab and the connection need to be Enable (unrestricted).

Click on Set button.
1.2 Enable Modbus TCP via Sun2000 App
Open/download the Huawei SUN2000 app
Connect the SUN2000 APP to the inverter Wi-Fi hotspot
Select manual connection and follow the steps, use the default password “Changeme” for the first login
Attention
Turn off the phone mobile data or else the inverter will not be found by the app.

Enable Modbus
On the home page, select:
Settings >> Communication configuration >> Dongle parameter settings >> Modbus-TCP >> Enable (unrestricted)
The inverter will be detected in the next 5 minutes by the FlexiObox, if that’s not the case, check if the inverter and dongle firmware versions are at the minimum required
2. Huawei firmware versions
Ensure that the firmware versions for inverter and dongle are at least the following:
Device | Minimum Version Number |
---|---|
SDongle-05 | V100R001C00SPC127 |
SUN2000L | V200R001C00SPC115 |
SUN2000MA | V100R001C00SPC139 |
Checking and updating the firmware versions can be doen true the FusionSolar app (WebUI remotly or Mobile app locally) and the Huawei SUN2000 App (local).
