[LP12] P1 cable RJ11/12 to USB (2m)

Description

High quality RJ12 to USB shielded cable to connect the FlexiObox to the P1 port of the digital meter.

P1 data is required for:

• Obtaining accurate measurements to allow FlexiO to properly control the installation

• Participating in grid balancing

Installation instructions

Connect the RJ12 connector to the P1 port of the digital meter.

The P1 port may be disabled by default. Read this section for more information on how to enable.
Remark: this action should be executed by the end-user.

Some digital meters may have 2 ports (P1 & S1): check carefully which one is the P1 port.

Connect the other end of the cable (USB) to the FlexiObox.
You can choose which 4 USB ports to use (2x USB 2.0 black and 2x USB 3.0 blue).

Make sure that "Has P1 port" is enabled when configuring the FlexiObox.
You can find this setting on the "Device Details" page.

When the P1 cable is correctly installed and functional, a green LED will flash on the USB connector side of the cable.

Correctly installed means:

1. USB connected to the FlexiObox

2. FlexiObox/FlexiO up and running

3. Meter P1 port connected and set to active

Technical details

Tips

• For use with digital meters only

• Some digital meters have 2 ports (P1 & S1): carefully check which one is P1

• The P1 port may be disabled by default. Read this section for more information on how to enable.
  Remark: this action should be executed by the end-user.

• If the distance between the FlexiObox and the digital meter is more than 2 meters, the 5 meter version can be used as an alternative.

• If the distance FlexiObox - digital meter is more than 5 meters, a P1 HomeWizard Wi-Fi dongle can be used as an alternative.
