Different types of curtailment

  • Type-N: No curtailment capabilities. (Also used for sites that have Green Energy Certificates)

  • Type-S: Can derate inverter power and supports frequent updates. Battery control is available, allowing independent charging or discharging from PV curtailment.

  • Type-H: Can derate inverter power but does not support frequent updates.

  • Type-X: Can derate inverter power, but battery control is not available. The battery will charge while curtailment is active with all excess PV.

  • Type-G: Specific to Goodwe, involves AC import/export control where the battery only allows discharging, not charging
