Troubleshooting FrequencyResponceCapable

🩺 Health Checks for Frequency Reserve GridBalancing

LIFEPOWR performs an automated weekly health check on all devices participating in gridbalancing based on Frequency Reserve.

This check is based on the “frequencyResponseCapable” graph.
The result of this graph is determined by the quality and completeness of the following data:

  • 🔄 Synchronization between the head-end inverter data and the P1 meter or HomeWizard Eastron meter

  • 🌐 A stable network connection and a reliable connection to the inverter

  • 📡 Availability of accurate frequency measurements

The data is evaluated over multiple days.
If the result falls below the required threshold, the installation will be temporarily paused for gridbalancing.
Once a future test shows that all conditions are healthy again, the installation will automatically be reactivated.
FlexiO’s smart energy control remains active during this period, provided the installation’s technical configuration allows it.

🧰 What can you check as an installer, or advise your customer to check?

🔎 Via the Partner Portal

1. Check if the FlexiO Box is online

2. Verify the inverter connection and its communication quality

Inspect the “normalModeAndHealthy” graph.
If this graph does not show a stable value of “1” over a 24-hour or 7-day period:

  • 🔌 Check the quality and seating of all serial connectors and cables.

  • 🖥️ For Modbus TCP installations:

    • Ensure that both the FlexiO system and the inverter are connected directly to the router or the same network switch.

    • Avoid Wi-Fi repeaters and powerline adapters, as these can interrupt stable communication.

  • 🔄 Confirm that all components are running the correct firmware versions.

3. Verify the P1 port connection
