FlexiObox | Offline

First things first

Important: also users are notified via the FlexiO app of this error.

LIFEPOWR strongly encourages user interaction as first basic intervention step:

  • Faster as most of the time on premises/local

  • It might solve the error without any further intervention required from installer and/or LIFEPOWR

Explanation

The FlexiObox is offline.

This can be due to a power failure, a network connection failure, or an unfortunate situation where the FlexiObox hardware suffers hard- or software issues.

A FlexiObox error implies that FlexiO isn’t running.
The installation should be self-steering capable and thus fall-back to the local steering of the inverter. No extra savings nor earnings will be generated as FlexiO is down.

Required installer action

It is nearly impossible to diagnose offline remotely. If the user cannot solve this error locally, further investigation is required:

  • Broken power supply?

  • Bad internet connection?

    • Router / firewall in between

    • Power line issue

    • Cable damages or badly connected

  • FlexiObox failure

Remote intervention while in a call with the user or contacting the user by any other means might be the best option if a local visit isn’t an immediate option.

Ask user to describe the LED behavior of the FlexiObox or to send a picture or short movie, this can already help to find the closest solution

What if LIFEPOWR asset is broken

In case of a FlexiObox or power supply failure: replace the device and follow warranty instructions if applicable. To properly replace a FlexiObox: follow the replacement procedure to keep configuration and historical data.

LIFEPOWR recommends to send the device to the customer per parcel service, as it can be easily replaced.

  • FlexiObox failure: you might facilitate the retour of the failing FlexiObox by adding a pre-labeled bubble envelope

  • Power supply failure: no retour required to LIFEPOWR

Check this document (Dutch only) which you can add to the replacement package to guide the user in replacing the FlexiObox.

If warranty is applicable:

  • FlexiObox: ask your distribution partner to replace the defect FlexiObox.

  • Power supply: ask your distribution partner to replace the defect power supply.
