[LP1S] P1 passive splitter cable RJ11/12 (10cm)

Description

Passive splitter RJ12-RJ12. For use on the P1 port of the digital meter.

If the P1 port is already in use for other applications, this splitter can provide a solution.

Power from the P1 connector / meter may not be sufficient to power 2 units when splitting.
In this case, consider using an active splitter (order via the external store of HomeWizard) or connect an external power supply to the attached P1 devices.

P1 data is required for:

• Obtaining accurate measurements to allow FlexiO to properly control the installation

• Participating in grid balancing

Installation instructions

The package contains 2 parts:

1. RJ12-R12 cable of approx. 10cm

2. RJ12 splitter adapter

Plug one of the RJ12 connectors of the cable into the RJ12 (female) of the splitter adapter, the side where there is only 1 RJ12 jack (see middle photo above).

The other side RJ12 connector can be plugged into the P1 port of the meter.

You can now connect 2 devices to the 2 free RJ12 ports on the splitter.

The P1 port may be disabled by default. Read this section for more information on how to enable.
Remark: this action should be executed by the end-user.

Some digital meters may have 2 ports (P1 & S1): check carefully which one is the P1 port.

Technical details

Tips

• Applies to digital meters only

• The HomeWizard Wi-Fi Dongle HP1 is compatible with this splitter, but the power supply of the P1 port may not be sufficient to power 2 devices when both require power over serial connection. In that case, consider an active splitter (via the external HomeWizard store)
